What is TVL - ICT Strand?
- One of the strands offered within the Technical-Vocational Livelihood (TVL) Track of K–12 curriculum is Information Communication and Technology, or ICT. ICT (information communication technology) is more focused on how users can handle information with the help of digital technologies. Under this strand, you will gain knowledge and relevant skills in a variety of fields, including computer programming, web design, and graphics. ICT can also help you develop extra talents that you can use for work, especially if you're considering a job in the creative business like animation, technical drafting, or Java programming. Along with these, you will also study about telecom installation and medical transcription in ICT.
- Students who take ICT courses in senior high school are given the abilities and information necessary to be eligible for TESDA-backed certifications like the Certificate of Competence (COC) and National Certifications (NC). These ICT strand courses make it possible for TVL track ICT strand SHS graduates to apply for IT jobs right out of high school. Today's education industry makes extensive use of information and communication technology (ICT), which includes computers, the Internet, and electronic delivery systems including radios, televisions, and projectors among others.
